464.???? - wasn't fast enough with the radio; but i believe this is going to be another Fair freq

Preble County Pork Festival

Every year, around late September or early October; Preble County Fairgrounds plays host to the annual Preble County Pork Festival. Most radio traffic is related to parking and food vendors; but, occasionally there is a need for Public Safety. So bring your radio, and your appetite, and be prepared for a day of  fun and food.

Traffic heard so far to date has been on the Fairgrounds VHF-hi itinerant freq of 151.625 <Red Dot>. In years past, the use of FRS radios was prevelant for operations. But with the availability of cheap radios used by kids and young teens at any recreational event these days; the use of these radios for operations was not possible due to frequency congestion and interference.

Short attendance on Sunday of the 2005 Festival and only caught Sheriff traffic on the typical fairground freq's.....
