"My desire to start an Internet discussion forum about Invicta was due in large part to the lack of information about Invicta and their watches." "The forum is fantastic, and goes a long way to fill that information void, but many important questions which people have about the company remain unanswered." "Clearly a book is needed to answer questions such as, how long has Invicta been around, and what are company's roots?" "I'm really excited to have the opportunity to provide some answers to these questions because there is so much interest in Invicta and their watches."
In addition to the in depth examination of Invicta's history and foundations, the book will also trace the development of some of Invicta's most popular watches, such as the 8926 Pro Diver, and the Speedway series. According to the author, he will choose a non-traditional method for publishing and distributing his work.
"I knew from the beginning that getting this project published would be difficult." Invicta isn't as well known as other, more well established brand names like Seiko or Rolex." But, like the Latin meaning of the word 'Invicta' suggests, they have remain 'unconquered' and so have I." "It didn't make sense to try and sell the book to a publisher that would try to market it as a $100.00 coffee table book." "I can self-publish the book in an e-book format and easily get it in the hands of interested consumers for a much lower cost - perhaps as little as $10.00." "That's the target price of the book."
The book is projected to be released in April is projected to contain over 50 photographs (many of which by the author) of Invicta watches and will be approximately 100 pages in length.
