Danger Room Rumble
This diorama was made for the Hero's Emporium Contest "When Worlds Collide II" and consists of Koma Green Lantern, Horizon Cyclops and a custom base. Done in 1/6 scale.
One day when Green Lantern was visiting the X-Mansion, he and Cyclops decided it'd be interesting to spar a bit. While both were dodging the attacks of the robotic grappling arms, Cyclops played a bit of "Tag" with Green Lantern, peppering the floor around his feet with burns in an attempt to frighten GL. This obviously didn't work so Cyclops decided to try a more direct attack. Green Lantern immediately threw up a protective wall.
The base was made from wood and then covered with 65 2.5" square tiles. Some of the tiles show battle damage from optic blasts or power ring manifestations. The burn marks were made with a cutting torch. The back wall is a solid sheet of aluminum with steel strips added every few inches for texture. The power ring wall is a pane of window glass with a sand-blasted brick pattern and painted with transparent green glass paint. The optic blast is a glass stir rod cut to length and then wrapped in 1/16" red pin-striping and also painted with glass paint augmented by a high intensity red LED inside Cyclops's head. The robotic arms are made from coils of stainless steel wire, bent into position and then a claw added.
