Thanos of Titan by Lunchmin

This is an amazing bust done by Gabe Perna (aka Lunchmin).  The detail is incredible.  I highly recommend this piece.  I've also done the full figure kit Gabe did.

The gold armor was painted with bright gold, copper, and brass to give it depth and then drybrushed and trimmed with silver to bring out the highlights.  The gauntlet was painted in the same way but I then airbrushed Parma Faschange Blue and Red over the entire gauntlet.  This paint is semi-opaque and off white causing the base colors to be muted but it gives the entire figure an iridescence that shifts between gold, blue, and red depending on your viewing location.  The pictures simply do not do it justice.

The blue is Eggplant, Cobalt blue, Dutch blue, and a blackwash to bring it all together.  The gems were painted with Folk Art metallics and then drybrushed with gold and silver to make them shimmer.

I took a few liberties with the colors (adding the silver and the blue trim to the gauntlet).  To me, as drawn by marvel, the Infinity Gauntlet looked boring and I thought it needed a little more color.
