Boilermaker Volunteers Needed

Opportunities to Serve

One of the best ways to get to know other club members and to get active in club activities is to work on one of the club’s four standing committees. These committees are Communications; Community Involvement; Scholarship/Student Relations; and, Social/ Athletic Events. The real work of the club is accomplished through those who serve on these four committees. Each of the committees is searching for members interested in making a contribution to the club. Following is a brief description of each committee’s areas of responsibility:

Communications:

Publish bi-monthly newsletter

Provide news releases to media

Maintain internet web site

Community Involvement:

Identify potential projects

Recruit volunteers

Monitor projects

Scholarship/Student Relations:

Manage annual scholarship program

Administer P.A.R.T. program

Oversee high school college fairs

Social/Athletic Events:

Coordinate social/athletic events

Obtain event tickets

Serve as liaison with Purdue Athletic Department and John Purdue Club.

I encourage each member, especially our newest members, to consider getting involved in the administration of the club. It’s never too early to make an impact.
