  10. SLACKER POLICY: If you do not believe that you will be able to complete all games in this mini-tournament within the allocated time, please do not sign up.  It is not fair to your opponents, those other members who were shut out of the brackets, or the tournament coordinator.  If a player drops out of the tournament, their scheduled opponent will advance.  If both players drop out, an alternate will be placed in the bracket to continue the tournament.

Early Earth history was wrought full of many wars.  While some were large, such as the Second Global war (which ushered in the atomic age of Terra), none endangered freedom as much as the War of the Northern Aggression (Civil War) of the United States of America in the mid 19th Century (old Earth calendar).  This tournament reflects that conflict of brother against brother through a series of same- race combat using Star Fleet Battles rules.  In some ways, Civil War tournament battles are pure captain against captain battles as both ships have the exact same strengths and weaknesses.  Victory goes to the captain with the better tactics, better timing, and of course, better die rolls!

If using the same counters is confusing, simply select your opponent's SSD, use the 'file' pull down menu, and select 'use alternate counters'.  Your opponent's ship and other units will then use a generic counter scheme (white ship on gray background).  This will not work for the Seltorian but does work for most other ships.
