“The Fries Band” , formerly "The Fries", and originally "The French Fries", has been entertaining people in the Dayton area for the past 17 years with their unique treatment of popular and obscure cover songs, in addition to a diverse assortment of their own originals. They blend intricate, complex harmonies driven by acoustic guitars with keyboards, bass, and drums to create very distinctive musical arrangements.
The members are:
Gary Knight, Former Centerville middle school science teacher extraordinaire
Peter Price, Owner of Stillwater Builders
Jeff Tutt, Co-owner of The Playhouse Entertainment Complex in Miamisburg
Rich Palmer, Public Informational Officer & Fire and Life Safety Educator for Washington Township
They prefer performing in smoke-free and outdoor festival settings, but also enjoy many area restaurants and clubs, too. They have treated audiences to their inspirational rendition of the “Star Spangled Banner” at the Ervin J. Nutter Center, Hara Arena, University of Dayton Arena, Dayton Dragons games, Cincinnati Reds games, area festivals, and political functions.
